The Fairport school board has given the OK to a plan to renovate one school and close another.Under the plan, Fairport High School would be renovated to add ninth grade students.The Minerva Deland School, where ninth graders now attend classes, will be closed. The changes would be made over five to seven years. The district says the changes are needed because of declining enrollment.
