A man is pleading guilty to federal charges for shooting a gun out the window of a Greece apartment complex.
Federal Prosecutors say Christopher Rivers fired a shotgun multiple times outside an apartment window at the Affinity Orchard Apartments back in January.
Because he had previously been convicted of a weapons charge in Orleans County, he was not allowed to possess a gun.
The incident brought a large police presence and even delayed the opening of nearby West Ridge Elementary School.
Rivers pleaded guilty today to being a felon in possession of a firearm, which carries a maximum penalty of ten years behind bars. He will be sentenced in July.
