T-Mobile and Sprint say in a joint news release that approval of their merger will mean their previously announced Rochester area Customer Experience Center will be located in Henrietta, directly employing more than 1,000 workers.
The companies say the center will offer great wages and benefits and indirectly produce another 500 or 600 jobs.
The news release has supportive statements from Governor Cuomo and Congressman Joe Morelle.
Senator Gillibrand and some other Democratic candidates running for president are opposed to the merger.
