Rochester police have not said whether there is a connection between the shooting death Saturday of Jalen Everett and another shooting death a mile away last night.
The latest shooting happened around 7:30 Sunday evening outside 1 Maryland Street, a block from Dewey Avenue.
A man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The shooting happened just hours after city police warned citizens against retaliating for the killing of Everett. He was the man who was tried twice and was ultimately cleared of murder in the 2015 mass shooting outside the Boys and Girls Club. Everett was gunned down Saturday Night in a car at Dewey and Magee avenues.
No one has been arrested in either of the weekend homicides.
