The State Democratic Party Chairman says his party will likely hold its presidential primary in April 2020.
Jay Jacobs believes that date will allow New Yorkers to have a big say in the nomination process, since the state's primary will be more than two months after the primaries begin.
Only California has a larger number of convention delegates to award.
It'll be up to the Legislature to decide the exact date for the primary.
