Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren is urging the community to get behind efforts to overhaul the failing city schools.
Warren says the city should support the recent recommendations of the state's Distinguished Educator, calling for broad reforms in the school system. Warren delivered her State of the City address at Enrico Fermi School No. 17 -- which she says is an example of a successful community school.
The school was reformed in 2001 after a 4th grader was killed nearby.
