Stueben County Man Who Threatened Rep Omar Appeared in Court

Patrick Carlineo Jr. is accused of calling Representative Ilhan Omar last month and threatening to "put a bullet in her (expletive) skull."

Carlineo was charged with threatening to assault and murder a U.S. official. Defense attorneys requested that he be given home confinement. Judge Marian Payson did not rule today, saying she wanted to review the case and the background law.

Papers filed in court say Carlineo told investigators he thought Omar supports the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. Investigators seized five long guns and a pistol from his home in Addison.

He'll be back in court in June.
