A removal hearing is set for one of two Wayne Central School Board members accused of official misconduct Monday, March 11; and while the public is welcome, they will not be allowed any time for comments or questions. The allegations include claims of inappropriate and unauthorized independent inquiry. The board has not revealed the specifics of the allegations against Steve Gallaher, or Dennis Landry -- who faces a similar removal hearing in May. The Sun & Record Wayne County Mail newspaper reported last month that most of the charges involve a visit by the men last fall to the closed Freewill Elementary School building. It reportedly triggered an alarm and resulted in a police response.
