Senator Schumer is urging Congress to immediately reauthorize of The Land and Water Conservation Fund.
The Fund supports tourism attractions -- including the Women's Rights Park in Seneca Falls and the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge, but it expired in October, threatening future projects.
Schumer says it would support the Finger Lakes tourism economy, and that reauthorizing and fully funding the Conservation Fund will help the parks expand and upgrade over time.
The legislation has passed the Senate, and is pending in the House of Representatives.
