Wegmans is announcing temporary price reductions on some grocery staples for two weeks to give relief particularly to people put in a tough spot by the recent government shutdown.
The price cuts are for all customers at all stores, but are designed to help people who received their February food stamp benefits in advance during the shutdown -- making the final days of the month a challenge.
The price cuts take effect Saturday and end March 2.
