The deadline is Friday for the Rochester City School District to respond to the report by the state's distinguished educator.
The district must submit an action plan to the state education commissioner.
Distinguished Educator Jaime Acquino made 84 recommendations in November to overhaul district curriculum and finances. They include adopting a common curriculum in all subject areas, and developing a long-term district financial plan.
While the report praised Rochester's Pre-K programs it found children are falling behind in elementary school.
