UPDATE: RT 96 in Perinton is now open in both directions without restriction.

A portion of Route 96 remains closed in Perinton, where a car slammed into a utility pole and brought down power lines last night.
Deputies say the driver lost control and hit the pole near Woodlcliff Drive around 7:30 last night.
The two men and two women in the car have minor injuries. The driver was ticketed for driving without a license and failure to stay in a lane.
RG&E and Frontier were working overnight to make repairs to the pole and the power lines.
