UPDATED: Rochester police say the man who was shot and killed last night at the Cedarwood Towers Apartments on East Main Street was 26-year-old tenant Bradley Thomas.
Police say witnesses and surveillance video indicated Thomas was threatening other people in the lobby. A security guard got into a fight with Thomas outside and fired his legally registered gun one time. Thomas died later at the hospital.
The guard has not been charged by police, but the case has been turned over to the District Attorney's Office.
