Rochester Man Charged With DWI, Vehicular Manslaughter

One person is dead and three injured after a crash late Thursday night at I-390 Southbound and Hylan Drive in Henrietta.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says the vehicle struck a retaining wall that separates the expressway from a WalMart parking lot. Two passengers were thrown from the car. Twenty-two-year-old Anthony Mykins was pronounced dead at the scene, and a female patient was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and listed in critical condition.

Driver Jordin Campbell, a 22-year-old Rochester man, was taken to Strong with serious injuries. Another male passenger suffered less serious injuries and is expected to recover.

Deputies found Campbell was driving south on Clay Road near the WalMart when he failed to make a curve and crashed into the concrete barrier. Campbell has been charged with driving drunk, vehicular assault and vehicular manslaughter.

Campbell was arraigned at the hospital and is being held on $25,000 bail. He’ll be in court next Wednesday.
