We now know the trial date for ex-judge Leticia Astacio. She is scheduled to go to trial on a felony gun charge January 28. The defense is asking that the trial be moved out of Monroe County.
Astacio is accused of trying to buy a shotgun in April while on probation from her DWI conviction. A judge earlier this month rejected a defense motion to dismiss the charge. Astacio was removed from the bench in October for her prior conduct, including several probation violations.
