Governor Cuomo is outlining what he hopes to accomplish in the first 100 days of his third term. He says he'll focus on social, racial and economic justice. And his remarks today to the New York City Bar Association drew heavily on the example of a past governor -- and president -- Franklin Roosevelt, and his help for the common man.
Cuomo is promising a tax cut for the middle class, preservation of the health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act, and new gun control measures. He's also promising passage of equal rights legislation for women, and bills protecting abortion and contraception rights.
Cuomo is also pledging more aid to needy schools, college tuition help for illegal immigrants, and another $50 billion for infrastructure, creating construction jobs.
