The man accused of taking a 14-year-old Rochester girl to New York City last week, setting off an AMBER Alert, is now facing federal child porn charges.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 42-year-old Robert Gonzalez has been charged with production and possession of child pornography. Federal prosecutors say the girl's mother told police her daughter had confessed to being in an inappropriate sexual relationship with Gonzalez. That was supported by messages found on social media, some of which showed background scenes located in New York City.
Videos from the defendant's cellphone after he was arrested showed the couple having sex. Gonzalez was arraigned in federal court today.
