Leroy, NY -- State police have arrested the Town Justice in Leroy on charges he hit and injured a nine-year-old child.
The Genesee County Child Protective Services office reported the abuse to state police December 4, and 50-year-old John Duyssen was arrested Monday.
Investigators aren't saying how Duyssen knows the child.
He's charged with harassment, and endangering a child, and has been released on his own recognizance.
Duyssen lives in Stafford and is a retired sheriff's deputy.
