The latest numbers from the Monroe County Heroin Task Force show the number of opioid overdoses in the county this year has risen past 1,000.
Through the end of November, there had been 1,062 overdoses, and 153 deaths. There were 766 reported overdoses last year, including 220 fatal overdoses,
