A man who officials say was working as a substitute teacher with the Rochester City School District, is now facing charges for allegedly having inappropriate physical contact with a 14-year-old girl.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s office says 43-year-old Michael Costa is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful imprisonment. Authorities say the alleged incident happened on August 20th in the Town of Parma, but did not occur on school grounds and did not involve a Rochester City School District student.
Costa has since been placed on leave from the district pending the outcome of the investigation.
The Sheriff’s office says Costa is currently on probation for DWI.
