Governor Andrew Cuomo is vowing to continue sending help to Puerto Rico, on this the one year anniversary of Hurricane Maria's landfall.
Speaking at a prayer vigil in the Bronx yesterday, Cuomo restated his plan to sue the federal government over their response to the storm's devastation. He added his support for Congresswoman Nydia Velasquez, as she pursues legislation that would establish a commission towards analyzing that response.
Cuomo calls the issue a stain on American history, and wants to have a memorial built in Lower Manhattan to honor the lives lost.
