The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says a fire at a Canandaigua motel was an act of revenge for a breakup.
Cheryl Buckley of Stanley is charged with arson for the fire late Wednesday night at the Pinewood Manor Motel on County Road 50. Authorities say she set the fire to an empty room at the motel and tried to set fire to a vehicle belonging to her ex. And deputies say she had tried it before.
No one was hurt.
