The heat will be on today across the Rochester area. The National Weather Service says a heat advisory will be in effect from noon until eight p.m. for most of the region. That includes Monroe, Orleans, Wayne and Livingston counties, among others.
Temperatures are expected to be around 90 -- with the heat index possibly reaching near 100 degrees later in the week.
