The New York State Department of Transportation will close the Gillett Road Bridge over the Erie Canal in Ogden for repairs Tuesday and Wednesday.
The DOT says the bridge stringers need to be reinforced, which will take about two days. The work will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Detours are posted via Manitou Road to the east and Route 259 to the West. Clearance for boats passing beneath the bridge will be restricted as well.
