Gun charges have been dropped against the alleged operator of an illegal gambling ring tied to a vacant bar on West Ridge Road. A Monroe County Grand Jury did not indict Daniel Elliott who is also known as "Miami Dan." Rochester Police raided a poker and blackjack operation in January of 2017. They confiscated a small amount of marijuana, cocaine and two semi-automatic pistols. No one was ever charged with gambling. Rochester Police say the investigation is still open. Elliott has since moved to Florida.
