NY State Police are continuing their investigation into a 2003 cold case.
State Police say they are investigating the disappearance of Dean Lewis, who was last seen September 25, 2003.
On September 29, 2003, Police were called to Hamlin Beach State Park where a worker reported that a person staying at one of the camp sites had failed to check out and had left their vehicle at the site.
Police determined the vehicle, a 1987 Volkswagen, belonged to Dean Lewis, who was traveling around the country alone and staying within state parks. The vehicle was in proper working order and very clean.
