Registered Democrats in the 25th Congressional District will vote today to choose a candidate for the fall election.
There are four candidates -- state Assemblyman Joe Morelle, Rochester City Council member Adam McFadden; Brighton Town Board member Robin Wilt; and former TV reporter Rachel Barnhart.
The district includes most of Monroe County, and there are 179,000 registered Democrats in the district -- including 65,000 in the City of Rochester and 20,000 in Greece.The polling places open at noon and will close at 9 p.m.
The winner will face Republican Jim Maxwell in the November election to succeed the late Louise Slaughter.
