Rochester City Council to Hold Public Hearings on “Nuisance Points” Law

The Rochester City Council will hold three public hearings on a plan to modify the city’s “Nuisance Points” law, which allows the city to track businesses deemed a nuisance by the surrounding neighborhood.

The changes give businesses a chance to dispute being assigned “nuisance” points and a chance to appeal, plus a hearing before the city moves to shut such a business down.

The first hearing is Thursday at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall.
