Rochester, NY -- A Rochester man is in custody after a police chase downtown that ended in a crash around 3:30 a.m. Friday.
City police say they tried to pull over a vehicle on Chestnut Street at East Avenue, but the driver took off. State troopers spotted the vehicle minutes later and chased it to State and Main streets. The vehicle T-boned a state police cruiser and driver Ozelle Vickers was arrested.
State police say Vickers intentionally rammed the cruiser. The trooper wasn't hurt and helped apprehend Vickers.
The charges include reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, DWI and many other offenses.
