Rochester, NY -- We now know the 12 finalists for induction this year at the World Video Game Hall of Fame at the Strong Museum of Play.
The inductees will be chosen May 3 from this list of finalists: Asteroids, Call of Duty, Dance Dance Revolution, Final Fantasy VII, Half-Life, John Madden Football, King’s Quest, Metroid, Minecraft, Ms. Pac-Man, Spacewar!, and Tomb Raider.
New this year, fans may vote for their favorite finalists from now through April 4 at worldvideogamehalloffame.org. The three games that receive the most public votes will form one ballot and will join the 27 other ballots submitted by members of the International Selection Advisory Committee, which is made up of journalists and scholars familiar with the history of video games and their role in society.
