New York State Police want to warn people about a possible text message scam.
State Police say the message alert will appear like it was sent from the bank and will have a way for you to contact them back. State Police say it is important that you do not give your personal banking account information or your credit/debit card information to anyone by email or over the phone.
If you have questions or concerns about your banking accounts, you are urged to contact your bank directly or in person.
