A retired Rochester police officer who served in the Iraq War has been selected to become the next senior enlisted soldier in the New York Army National Guard.

Officials at National Guard headquarters in suburban Albany say Command Sgt. Maj. Louis Wilson will take over the position later this year.

The 38-year veteran of the National Guard served 20 years with the Rochester Police Department. During that time, Sgt. Maj. Wilson spent time on the force with the man who recently retired Greece Police Chief, Todd Baxter. Listen below as former-Chief Baxter discusses his brother in blue.
