Kanye West has just announced the he faces danger every time he performs, much like a soldier or a police officer. You see, when he goes out on stage he faces risks. Apparently they are much greater than I had imagined. I guess he is right. He could wind up falling down. He could bump his head or break his leg because he is such an incredibly talented and aggressive performer. He actually now compares himself to a soldier facing enemy fire in  battle, or a cop on the street who walks into a mob- hoping that he or she will not be maimed or killed. He also compared himself to Michelangelo. I’m not kidding.

I have very few heroes, but those who mix intelligence, creativity, and brilliance in imagination, invention and artistry are even fewer. Leonardo da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, and Michelangelo rise to that level. Apparently Kanye has secretly been on his back painting a ceiling recently, in a manner which allows him to equate his own talent with that of Michelangelo. This is stunning. This is news. This is PR at its finest - mixed with enough flatulence to ruin what is left of the ozone layer.

Every once in a while something is so amazing that you have to take a minute out of a busy day just to contemplate what is being claimed and compare it to reality.

If I hadn't seen the look of seriousness on his face as he made these claims, I would have thought it was said tongue-in-cheek, therefore catapulting him to a level of comedy which  truly would be among the greatest talents in that field.  Unfortunately he is clueless. Get a grip Kanye!
