The Bills may have not played Sunday, but their weekend was very busy at One Bills drive. Not only did the team bring back punter Brian Moorman, but head coach Doug Marrone announced that quarterback Thad Lewis would be actived from the practice squad roster.

But what really shocked Bills fans was what Marrone said immediately after.
#Bills QB Thad Lewis will start for Buffalo against the Bengals— Buffalo Bills (@buffalobills) October 7, 2013
The reason? Lewis knows the system. He may have not when he played in the preseson game two months back, but he does now. If the Bills were to pick a free agent up, it would be virtually impossible for him to be ready by Sunday. And I think we can agree, Jeff Tuel under center for an entire game against an excellent Bengals defense would be scary to watch.
In Lewis' only action this year for Buffalo, he was 7-16 for 132 yards in a 35-13 preseason loss to Detroit on August 29th.
He'll try and reverse that outcome Sunday against the Bengals in Orchard Park.
