Jim Ritts has won the Republican Primary for District Attorney in Ontario County. He received about 55 percent of the vote to defeat Kitty Karle. However, Karle has minor party endorsements and will still appear on the November election ballot.The winner will succeed retiring DA Mike Tantillo. Ritts is an 18-year prosecutor in the DA's office. Karle was a prosecutor in Monroe County for ten years.
