A recent graduate of Brighton High School has passed away according to a statement from the superintendent.
That statement which was posted on the district’s website today, said Owen Thomas died following a boating accident last night on Waneta Lake in Schuyler County.
Thomas was a 2017 graduate and was described as an accomplished student, a multi-sport athlete.
