The Rochester City School District has hired Webster school superintendent Adele Bovard as the new deputy superintendent for administration.
She will oversee human resources, data systems, professional learning and other non-classroom functions for the city schools.
Bovard has more than 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher, school and district administrator, including four years as Superintendent in Dansville.
Officials in the Webster school district plan to meet and appoint an acting superintendent and come up with a plan to find her replacement.
Bovard starts her role in the Rochester City School District on August 1.
