Rochester N.Y.- A Rochester man will spend up to 18 years in prison, 5 more on supervised release, that following his conviction for the shooting of a pregnant teenager on Danforth Street.

Samuel Smith was sentenced today after being found guilty on charges that include First Degree Attempted Murder and Assault in the attack on the 17 year old girl on May 20, 2013. He shot her in the abdomen.

The young woman and her child were seriously injured but survived the shooting.

Smith was convicted in June.
