Posted July 28th, 2014 @ 11:15am

Rochester N.Y.- Flood Watches and Warnings are in effect in our area through 5:00 PM tonight. Some areas could see between 2 to 3 inches of rain-

Flooding shut down a 16-mile stretch of the eastbound lanes of the Thruway outside Rochester for a time. It has however now RE-OPENED BETWEEN EXIT 47(Leroy) AND 46 (Henrietta).

You may still have to deal with some lane closures.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Department has issued travel advisory for the Towns of Richmond and Canadice as well as for  the Hamlet of Honeoye. Several roads are flooded. Deputies say no unnecessary travel is advised in those areas.

From Livingston County, The Sheriff there has issued a travel advisory for all of Livingston County.

He has also issued a boating advisory for all of Conesus Lake. The advisory is due to excessive amounts of debris in the lake, including large logs that could cause major damage to boats and/or injury to boaters. Please use caution.

In Monroe County. at last word The 6200 block of Chili Riga Center Rd (33A) is closed in both directions due to flooding until further notice. The closure runs between Palmer Rd and Bettridge Rd, all traffic will be detoured
