Rochester, N.Y. - The man arrested hours after being released from prison for raping a 14-year-old at the Liberty Pole is due in court today.
Michael Caruthers is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing. before his release the parole board labled him as someone who was likly to commit another crime. Prosecuters say he choked and threatened to kill the girl. He is facing two felony charges of assault and rape and could face 50-years in prison.
It has been reported that Caruthers was accused of sexually assaulting another woman in 2008 during a robbery; but it appears nothing came of those charges.
