Rochester, N.Y. – Tickets are now available for Rochester’s favorite outlier. The second annual Fringe festival is twice as long and has doubled the number of shows from last year.
Erica Fee is the producer of the Rochester Fringe Festival and says that they will be kicking off their first weekend on September 20th with several free events and a fan favorite from last year. "Friday on the Fringe will be from 5pm through 9pm at Manhattan Square Park and at 8 o'clock we will feature Bandaloop. They will be once again be dancing on the side of one HSBC Plaza." Fee says that the troupe attracted over 10,000 people last year.
The festival will feature 360 shows, which do not include the free street performances. Of those 360 performances at this years festival, 120 of them are free.
The Fringe Fest previously announced that they were bringing in headliners such as the Pulitzer Prize-winning author and columnist Dave Berry and podcast producer and comedian Marc Maron. Additionally, a Spiegeltent will be brought in to host several music and dance performances.
The ten day festival will run from September 19th through the 28th.
