Services Set For Trooper Killed During Traffic Stop

PORT DICKINSON, N.Y. (AP) _ Funeral arrangements have been made for Trooper Christopher Skinner, who was struck and killed while making a routine traffic stop on Interstate 81 near Binghamton.

State police say calling hours will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Community Baptist Church in Port Dickinson. The funeral is scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church on Reynolds Road in Johnson City.


The 42-year-old trooper was killed instantly when he was struck by a pickup truck around noon Thursday. The driver, Almond Upton of Melrose, Florida, has been charged with first-degree murder.
