Schumer Wants Alcohol Packed Slushies Regulated

Posted May 27th, 2014 @ 6:46am

(New York, NY) -- They're called Phrosties and they're alcohol-packed slushies delivered straight to your door.

Senator Charles Schumer thinks these boozy beverages need to be regulated.

They come with enticing names like Tsunami Sunrise, Volcanic Paradise and Irish Bomb, cost just ten-dollars and can be ordered 24-hours a day via Instagram.

Sugar boosts the buzz factor and Schumer says the company that makes Phrosties should have to prove they're not being sold to kids.

The New York State Liquor Authority is investigating.
