Rochester, NY -- Police investigating the recent incidents involving damage to vehicles on area roads and expressways believe the person or persons responsible may be in a moving vehicle when causing the damage.

Ten similar incidents since April 15 are under investigation, including the shattering of an SUV window Thursday morning on I-390 North near the Trolley Blvd. overpass. Seven of the incidents happened on 390, one on 490 and two on suburban roads.

Police say the investigation is a collaborative effort between the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the state police, Greece police and the FBI.

As the police statement was issued late Thursday afternoon, a report of an 11th similar incident was made near 390 in Avon, Livingston County.
