Waterloo N.Y. - Former Deputy Monroe County Executive James Smith has a new job.
Smith was chosen this week to serve as manager of Seneca County.
His career in Monroe County government ended in 2009 when he resigned following an indictment by a Monroe County grand jury on charges of official misconduct in connection with the Robutrad scandal. He was however acquitted on all charges a year later.
The 44 year old of late has been working as the regional director and manager of constituent services for Congressman Tom Reed out of Reed's Geneva office.
Smith takes over for Mitch Rowe who took a job with the city of Rochester. He will begin his new job May 5th.
