ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) _ The names of more than a dozen police officers who died from Ground Zero-related illnesses are being added to the New York State Police Officers' Memorial in Albany. 

Some of the state's top elected officials will join law enforcement officer from across New York for Tuesday afternoon's ceremony at the memorial located in the Empire State Plaza in downtown Albany. The annual police officers' memorial remembrance ceremony honors officers who died from duty-related causes.


The names of 20 officers will be added to the black granite memorial. They include five who died of line-of-duty injuries in 2013 and 12 New York City and one Peekskill, New York officer who died of Ground Zero-related illnesses. Two other officers who died in 1914 and 1957 also are being added.
