Rochester, N.Y. - The man who founded" Honor Flight Rochester" has died. Colonel Edwin 'Woody’ Mench died last week following a battle with prostate cancer.

 It was five  years ago that the retired US Air Force Colonel founded the program which flies veterans to Washington, DC for free to see the WW II Memorial.

Calling hours for Mench are today from 4 to 7 at the Richard Keenan Funeral Home in Fairport.
