Rochester, N.Y. – Construction is underway at the National Museum of Play at The Strong, well sort of.

Little Builders will be setting up shop at the beginning Saturday and will remains through January 5, 2014. The exhibit will feature 20 interactive stations that will target five critical parts of construction; the site itself, structures, aerodynamics, cranes, and simple machines. The exhibits will also explain some of the sciences behind construction.

The opening weekend celebration is two days; Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. For the celebration, former “Wacky Morning Guy” on 13-WHAM-TV Stan Munro will feature his Toothpick World.

The exhibit was created and is toured by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland.
