Rochester N.Y.- Uncomfortably graphic evidence was shown in court today (Thurs) during the murder trial of Clayton Whittemore.
The Oneida County man is accused of beating SUNY Brockport Freshman Alexandra Kogut to death on campus 18 months ago.
Police officers testified that Kogut was "beaten beyond recognition," and DA Sandra Doorley showed video evidence of the scene and the victim's battered body.
The defense doesn't deny that Whittemore killed his girlfriend. They say he was in a state of extreme emotional distress because he grew up with physical and emotional abuse.
