Canandaigua, NY -- A Finger Lakes Community College administrator who resigned after she was accused of changing grades on student transcripts has agreed to pay nearly $6,000 in restitution to the college and the state.

In exchange, the misdemeanor charges against Nancy Purdy will be dropped if she has no other run-ins with the law in the next six months.

According to The Democrat and Chronicle, Ontario County District Attorney Michael Tantillo conceded that some of the grade changes ultimately appeared to be legitimate, though some did not.

Purdy had been charged with official misconduct and falsifying records.
